Manis
Investigations, Inc. (the company) is a full service protection,
investigative, training and consulting agency. The company is
unique in that it is comprised primarily of former Federal Bureau
of Investigation (FBI) Special Agents that have distinguished
themselves in service to their country. They have been responsible
for the handling of this country's most significant high profile
investigative and protective matters. Manis Agents were responsible
for the investigation and arrest of the radical right wing terrorists

of the Oklahoma City Federal Building, and the Unibomber, to
name only a few.
Military,
Law Enforcement and Tactical Experience. The company
has a myriad of military and civilian tactical special operations

FBI SWAT Teams, Marine Corps, Army and Navy Seals. These agents

Manis Investigations is truly a "who's who" among
law enforcement and military heroes.

company's on-staff agents have provided special training to
the CIA and the FBI Hostage Rescue Team and others were staff
instructors at the FBI Training Academy in Quantico, Virginia.
Through teaming agreements with strategic partners, the company
provides superior training
facilities with upscale classrooms, lodging and dining facilities
on site. At these facilities, training includes live fire
with handguns and shoulder weapons; detonation of explosive
devices; tubular assault on pressurized commercial type aircraft;
and tactical driving courses geared toward executive protection.
Elite
and Unique Qualifications. Majorities of Manis Investigations'
Agents formerly served with the FBI or Secret Service and
have a lifetime of experience in either managing, training
or serving in paramilitary or executive protective services.

Experiential
Event Marketing Security Offers Unparalleled Investigative
Services and Resources. Protect your most valuable
assets, your vendors, your employees, and your brand reputation.
Manis Investigations is considered an industry leader in this
arena having provided security for the largest and longest
running experiential event marketing programs to date performing
with unparalleled success. Strategic planning and expert execution
of all security measures relevant to every aspect of the event
reduces the corporate liability, protects the consumer and
contributes to the overall success of the promotion. Advanced
planning, on-site security, due diligence background investigations
and post event analysis are integrated into one comprehensive
security service. The company conducts detailed background
investigations with its investigative staff supplemented by
approximately six hundred (600) additional investigative associates,
all of whom have served as Special Agents of the FBI. These
associates are located throughout the United States and are
strategically placed geographically to expedite investigative
efforts.
Background Investigations for sweepstakes participants
and their guests. Background Investigations
can provide due diligence for the event sponsor. It also provides
current information to help determine whether or not the participant
qualifies for a marketing event (proof of age/citizenship,
etc). Background Investigations can also assist in determining
whether the risk or liability is acceptable on particular
participants that may have a criminal history. Manis Investigations
reviews and tailors each background investigation to our client's
needs and can include Federal, State and County criminal histories,
professional licensing verification, motor vehicle driving
history, to name but a few. The Manis network has the capability
to transfer information in "real time" in a secure
format. Manis Investigations has experience working in tandem
with the client and other sweepstakes vendors, sharing information
that can be integral to the success of an event. Background
Investigations can also be done on other potential contractors
or "personalities" that may be involved with the
event to determine the risk of liability and/or provide due
diligence on behalf of the client.
Due
diligence can be performed on businesses, such as the hotel
or event location. Manis Investigations can
provide a full company history and background investigation
that can prevent an unfavorable association between the corporate
client and possible vendors. For example, one event location
is chosen over another because the owner has a drinking problem/credit
problems/criminal associations/etc. that would not have been
discovered without the investigation. On its face, the location
had as much to offer the event as the other location but there
was too much risk of future problems and publicity. Manis
Investigations is sensitive to the corporate client who insists
on maintaining a responsible image in today's liability laden
world.
On site security during the event. On
site security is an often overlooked service in Event Marketing
because a hotel or other site will have its own security.
In our experience, hotel security protects the interest of
the hotel, not the event sponsor. Manis Investigations works
with the event site and client to maintain a professional
relationship while demanding sovereignty to protect the client's
interest. Hotel security is generally reactive rather than
proactive. Should a situation rise to the level that the hotel
security needs to be involved, the usual response is to bring
in local law enforcement which can cause unfavorable results.
The last thing a major brand would want is the arresting of
their consumer. A corporate sponsor in a hotel looks at event
guests and hotel guests separately. The hotel sees all guests,
whatever the reason for their presence, as the same. When
hotel security becomes involved, the event sponsor has little
control in handling the situation.
When
Manis Investigations works security on site at a marketing
event, we look out for the best interests of the client (or
corporate sponsor) and their guests. We make a point to explain
our presence and create a professional partnership with the
hotel security. Our unique brand of service provides teams
of highly trained and professional agents on site to assess
and diffuse problems before they rise to a level that can
affect other participants, the corporate client or the success
of the event. Our agents are trained and experienced in detecting
and deflecting potential conflicts in a low key manner with
an emphasis on guest services. Should a situation arise, we
have created a Response Plan to handle these situations "in
house" without involving the hotel and with minimum intrusion
on other guests. Law enforcement is always a last resort and
only when the circumstances are such that we are required
to report it. This rarely happens in our business.
A
Written Incident Response Manual. Manis Investigations
can tailor a written Incident Response Plan that covers guest
scenarios, weather contingencies, power problems, traffic
accidents, theft, media and/or government intrusion, etc.
for our clients to anticipate problems and assist with a measured
response that protects a company's interests. Manis Investigations
also provides written documentation for due diligence purposes
throughout the event in accordance with the Incident Response
Plan detailing any and all incidents for the client.
Veteran Owned and HUB Zone Certified. Manis
Investigations, Inc. is a HUB Zone certified and veteran-owned
small business. The company has been in existence since July
1, 1994, and has successfully completed over 25,000 investigations/assignments
for some of the largest corporations in the United States.
